About Helping Ears

 

 

Welcome to Helping Ears, a compassionate initiative that grew from the roots of our parent company, 

Our organisation is headed by Robyn & Steven, a husband and wife team, striving to make a difference.

 

Our journey began whilst on holiday in Fiji, where we started a conversation with a hotel manager. He highlighted a severe shortage of allied health care in the region, in particular children suffering with ear conditions. We realised that we had the skills to make a substantial difference.

 

A common question we get asked in our private practice is what could be done with hearing devices that were no longer needed?

This question, combined with our transformational trip to Fiji, ignited the spark for our charitable endeavours. Thus, our mission came to life – to provide hearing services to those in need, especially those who might not have access to such essential offerings.

At the core of our mission is a commitment to minimise our environmental global footprint. We believe in not just providing essential services but doing so in a way that benefits communities that might not have access otherwise. Over the last two years, we have seen in excess of 800 patients, educated local community leaders, partnered in educating local medical staff and providing much needed school screenings.

At Helping Ears, we are not just about hearing; we are about listening to the needs of communities, fostering sustainability, and making a meaningful difference.

 

These values have been shared beyond the realms of audiology, as we also try to provide necessary resources for the community.  We also try to arrange supplies for the local schools and community centres to ensure a better future for all.
